22RE starting stumble

My 84 (with factory 22RE) has been giving me some fits starting when cold. It will crank (just briefly), fire off, stumble, then die. Hit the key again and its no problem. If I start it with the throttle slightly open it will start, stumble and then sound like its running on 2 cylinders for a few seconds, then its fine. Hot starts are no problem, just when the motor is cold. Has had a recent tune up, and I'm not experiencing any other problems. Where should I look first? Cold start injector? These 22RE's are new to me, forgive my noobness.

Check the thermal time switch, thats what operates the cold start injector, if its bad it will cause problems with cold starts. Also pull the cold start injector and clean it.
