22re manual Trans fit in 96 taco ?
I have a 96 Tacoma that I'm looking to purchase that has a blown third gear in the five speed manual transmission that it has??? can I take a older 22 RE pre-Tacoma transmission _ five-speed 85 to 94 from a 22re and will it work and fit a 96 Tacoma with a 2.7 l4 without a new bell housing or any fab work ???? Thanks steve

Have to use 2.7 bellhousing.
How many times have you posted about this? You're asking a slightly different question here.
And the trans will bolt to the bellhousing, but the trans case won't bolt up, and the shifter location will probably be different.
