Timing on the 22r carbed version is 0 degrees, with hoses on diaphrams on distributor plugged.

0 degrees when idle is less then 750-800 RPM, with he hoses plugged, if engine idle goes up when putting the lines on, there is a possibility that the diaphram inside the distributor is busted and is causing a vacuum leak. Once you put the hose back on your timing should be around 14-15 degrees IIRC, if the tiiming does not advance with the hoses on, then it's a problem with the diaphram.

FYI the back diaphram is for cold timing advance and the rear is for normal operating temp. Always check timing when warm. Only one of those lines should have vacuum at a time.

Vibration can be anything, could be engine mounts, u-joints, transfer case mount, transfer case output shaft, rear diff flange, driveshaft loose and probably some others in the drivetrain I have missed. Since it goes away while crousing on the highway, I don't think it would be ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm or anything steering related.
