I got it put together finally after using that excellent search button, however I couldn't find anything specific to what my problem is now.

My 87 22r has spark, will crank, and I've poured fuel in the carb but it will not run.

Where would you start? I'm certain that I have the timing right - TDC #1 cyl with it all. I also matched the timing marks together during the rebuild.

Any ideas?

 

Are you sure the distributor is in right? You could still be up to 180 out even if the chain is on perfect.

 

Is the spark a bright blue or a yellow color ? Yellow means it is weak. Does it hit at all when you pore gas in the carb ?
