so i have a 2000 runner sr5 and i for the life of me cannot find a lift over 3 inches. i have a 2.5 in daystar on it but i want to go bigger, preferably without a body lift. i bought a set of 35x12.50 thornbirds to put on it already, and before you call me an idiot i did it like that to force myself to get the truck up there, call it motivation. im in iraq at the moment with the usmc and have been doing a lot of research on this topic and cant find squat on it. i really need help. i want to keep the ifs up front for now and i want to get a 6 inch kit, but cant find it. does anyone out there have any idea how to get it up six inches??? please help. and thank you all in advance for whatever you can provide.

 

Did you search at all ?

The 95.5-04 Tacomas share the same exact FRONT suspension as the 96-02 4Runners.
Thus, If you want a 6" lift for a 4runner and cant find one, Buy one for a taco.
Although your not going to need the rear setup you would need coils..

thank you for your reply, i have talked with tuff country and with toyota off road parts and tuff country is worthless on the phone. they have a 5 inch for a tacoma but when i talked with toyota off road parts they were sayin that it would take more than bolting on the kit and getting new springs, i am not saying what you said wouldnt work but i was trying to find out what more would go into the kit. thank you

 

im looking into the same thing for the same car. it is so annoying how they dont have bigger suspension lift options.
