1st gen 4runner questions

Hello yotatech, my names ian and soon I'll be picking up a 1st gen. Was curious as to things I'll look for that would be wrong particular to this model. My first vehicle was an 87 Toyota pickup that I inherited from my grandpa 458k miles original block. Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is the wrong posting location

Looking at an 88 sr5 and I,assume it's the 22re and not the optional 3.0. I have yet to call busy at work and trying to find the right one

85 did not have a 3.0 option motor only the 22RE and 22R. Check the frame next to the gas tank and directly across in the opposite side of the frame.

He said 88, not 85

Brorealz - Yotatech has tons of information and stickies - recommend you spend some time reviewing them, then put together a comprehensive list of questions you still may have?
