1999 4runner lift options

ok after searching tirelessly on this site and other places..... i cant find just what i want. i took my 4runner to the shop this week and they said i need new tires and rear shocks.... so that got me thinking that i want to put a lift on. i found the 3" toyo tech suspension lift http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php...mart&Itemid=72
since i need to replace my rear shocks i thought that that would be the best option. now i dont really know what size tire to run i dont plan on doing major offroading so do i go with 33x12.5 or smaller (width) 33" tires? i do not want to rub at all. also i live in pa and tires are not allowed to extend past the fender flares, i do not haver the bigger fender flares that most people have (i believe limited version) i have the little chrome ones. i was also planning on getting mickey thompson classic 2 wheels, will these affect my rubbing with the amount of baskspacing on them?

my main goal is to make mine look like this http://www.cardomain.com/ride/335685...toyota-4runner i believe that this on has a total of 6" of lift but all body? my main problem is will there be rubbing with that setup and how will the ride be affected and gas millage?

thanks in advanced....... please dont give me the smart a$$ answer of searching the fourm because i have done that tirelessly. any help is appreciated

If you go from a 28 to a 33 inch tire you will want to regear. If you go with a 31 inch tire you will be OK with stock gears and you will not need as much lift. Lift the truck as much as you need to, but lift it as little as possible to keep the center of gravity down.
Disclaimer: This is true for my '87 not positive about '99.
Hint: Try searching and reading through the newbie tech stickies and threads. Great stuff that I have to review occasionally.
