my 96 SR5 has a gas smell that seems to be getting progressivly stronger. I only smell it when I park the truck. The smell seems to be coming from the rear wheel well on the drivers side. I haven't noticed any major differences in my fuel mileage. Any ideas where I should start looking. Thanks....

 

THE GAS TANK!!!! it's where its located. just get under the car and see if there is anything leaking or moisturized that you don't think should be. i would wear goggles or something like that because i don't think you would want gas in your eyes. also check upolstery on the inside just in case.

 

Check your fuel pressure regulator on the back side of the pass. side fuel rail hard to see but put your hand down there and see if its leaking fuel.
