Its usually a good idea to at least listen to peoples answers when you ask a question you don't know the answer to.

see post above. You are asking for help. Read the answers ...
The equipment needed to read the codes is a paperclip.
you jump the terminals and count how many times the CEL flashes on the dash.

also please don't create multiple threads on the same subject.

Let's back up for a moment.

Are you still having the same problems as you were last May?

Does the "Check Engine" light come on or stay on while driving? There may be stored codes in the engine computer, even if the "Check Engine" light does not come on while driving.

These trucks do not need scan tools to retrieve codes.

The 4Crawler page that Thefishguy77 posted tells you how to retrieve codes (if there are any stored) from your engine computer.

This page from the Factory Repair Manual is where part of 4Crawler's information came from: http://htftp.offroadsz.com/marinhake...26diagnosi.pdf

We need to know if the Engine Computer is telling us if it sees a problem before we can go further into the diagnosis. If any codes do show up, post them here so we can work on figuring out the problem.

Unfortunately, the posters above were very short on description (come on guys, we were all new once, does it hurt to actually type out a meaningful description? )

Is there an issue that would cause the codes not to flash & the CEL to stay on solid

Yea there probably a few reasons. Might be worth starting a thread for it. Or better yet if you have a trouble thread started that you are getting any responses to then piggyback on that. It it very helpful to be able to reread threads when your looking for answers.
