Welcome from Alabama.

Leaving the hubs locked in wouldn't cause a wheel bearing to go out. Any parts store should have wheel bearings, you might need a press to get them changed though.

What is the truck doing? Did the wheel lockup or making noise?

Are the axle parts on the 94 xcab the same as on a forerunner from same year?

4runner of same year and drivetrain (4wd) should be the same.

I know you said he left a hub locked in, so I presume it has Aisin manual hubs? Not the ADD(auto differential disconnect[?])? And leaving a hub locked shouldn't cause that severe of a problem. Although it will create more heat, which may have caused the bearing to overheat and fail, if the grease was in bad shape to begin with or non-existent.

Yes they are manual hubs. Father in law said the grease was not good.
