1990 4x4 Turn Signal Question

Just finished putting a heater core and rebuilt speedometer head in my 1990 V6 4x4. Everything works but the turn signals which worked before I tore the entire dash apart. I've connected all the wires except for a double wire on the left side near the hood release latch. These wires have a small two prong female clip. It is in the same cluster of wires as the dash light brightness adjustment dial. I can not find where these wires connect and I'm not even sure if they are the problem. I think one is purple and one is pink. I'm at work now and going from memory. Any ideas? I had to drop the steering column to get the dash out. Could that have caused the problem?
