1989 4runner v6 installing 5.29 gears help
i am going to be buying 5.29 gears for the rear of my 1989 4runner sr5 v6 auto because i am going to be running 33x12.5s and the power alreaby sucks with 31x10.5s. i have been reading up on it but the only thing that i cant seem to find is what to do with the front so that the 4x4 still works. i have not done the straight axle swap so it is still ifs. can anyone tell me what i need to do? -thanks for the help

You'll need 5.29's in the front too.
Specifically 5.29 Toy 7.5" ifs gears.
You can not mix match front and rear gear ratios. That would be bad and cause too much binding in the transfercase.
Give Eastcoastgearsupply.com a call and ask for Chase. He can set you up with pre built diffs for a great price.
