i recently found a 1988 toyota...has a new paint job....31" thornbirds with about 50% tread left....supposedly in good condition....(looks VERY nice)...4cyl 22re 5spd manual...has leather bucket seats in it...also comes with bench...all new tailights cornerlenses and headlights...(looks high dollar)...hes asking $3500 for it....and im trying to get rid of my 1980 s/b 4x4...runs fine...lags on the start...needs carb rebuild...if anybody is interested...i would love to give them any info they want to on it....i looked the 88 up on kelley blue book....they say $2250...sounds closer to me than $3500...but it would be alot more help if someone was interested in my 80...thanks alot guys...i just really need to know if this sounds like a fairly decent deal....i will post more info about it as i recieve it...thanks alot

i know mine is a different style cuz they changed in 89 but i have a 91 i resently bought for 4800 with a 4in trailmaster lift bald wild country 33-12.50-15 and a arb air locker with 157,000 miles on it and the kkb on it is at 3,600 for good condition so it sounds pretty close to what he will end up getting.

 

that doesnt sound good to me maybe if it was an 85 with a 22re but even then it sounds high but maybe the prices are higher where you live. i would pay 2500 for it max because its not a strait axel.

 

i was thinking $2500 or less...seems to be in great condition..lol..and i desperately need it...if any body needs a good parts truck...dont hardly get no better than my 80...(at least a parts truck for 79 to 80 for motor...and all the way to about 83 i think for everthing else)

i bought my 88 4Runner for $1800.oo, SR5, 3.oL V6, AT, pw, pdl, cruz, runs and passed smog but has 222K miles, decent body with only a couple spots on body that needs attention. see avatar.
