1988 22RE Headgasket replacement gone off course...

I am currently working on my father in laws 1988 Toyota pickup that has a 22re motor that has not been kept up very well... I have already pulled it apart and am now in the process of putting it back together. I made the mistake of not documenting where everything went(i thought i did, but i didn't...).

I am having several issues any help would be much appreciated.

I am having trouble locating the spot where the larger banjo bolt goes from my EFI...

All material I have found that shows the vacuum lines shows the VSV only having 2 hoses with a knob looking thing on one end. I have a spot for a third where the knob looking thing should be...

on the bottom side of my intake manifold where it connects to the head, about at aprox mid-way back, there is an opening for something with 2 bolts to attach to it, I have no idea what goes there...

HELP!!! thanks!

Is there any way you can take any pictures of what you are having issues with?

I think can't be sure but I think if it BANJO bolts like your saying they go to the fuel rail and head from here

to here

not sure these are the ones you are talking about but i just put my on and these are the only BANJO bolts I can remember putting on.

WOW sorry I just re read your post and I am recovering from a minor brain fart but I now have the correct photo's for you , the BIG BANJO bolt is the feedline to the bottom of your injection set up here

Thanks just about done doing to complete rebuild first timer and doing all myself except the machine shop work of course and using only the motor I tear down and stuff I find on here to do it really simple if you have any kind of wrenchin back round but not saying it's some thing anybody could do the way i am but I think anyone with a good manual could pull it off.

This is the best pic i could get of the opening on the underside of the intake where it meets up to the cylinder head. sorry about how tight/blurry it is, it was the best i could do while snaking a camera back there because the intake is already bolted up and I really don't want to pull it all off if i don't have to.

Can you get a better pic and wider angle and I will go out to the garage and see if I have mine hooked up and maybe we can get yours done that way.

is it all the way at the back of the head? If so you should have a pipe that runs to the drivers side like this

For some reason my paint will not except jpg files but if you look to the right where the pipe hooks up there are two of them are either one of these the ones your referring too?

looks like its the second one... That has to be the pipe that connects to a hose that runs through my firewall then. i will have to go take a look when it gets light out.

the only thing left is that VSV... i see in your pic that yours is still wrapped up in blue tape, but i can tell it has the knob or cap, i'm not sure which it is. Hopefully just a cap.

Its the brownish colored thing sitting on your valve cover that has some blue wrapping on it.
