1.5" BJ spacer breaking shocks?
I installed bj spacers on my '93 T100 a few weeks ago, i used the shock "extenders" included in the kit and got new shocks, after a few days my shock broke, it was a cheap shock so i put my old shock back on and that one broke after 2 days! both on the right side, the left shock is perfectly fine. when the shock broke it basically just stripped it out so i could pull the two ends apart.
Any ideas on why this happens? need more shims?
Im saving up to get better, longer shocks but i dont want to break those also.

Get a set of correct length shocks. Shock extenders are like blinker fluid. Get the right stuff, and you won't have to worry yourself with the possibly breaking a shock.

Why just the right side??
Did you maybe get two different shocks or shock extenders .
just how did this happen?? the right wheel would have to be dropping well below the full extension of the shock on a constant basis if you were just able to pull the shock apart.
then you go and break another one?? Fess up just how did you do this????
Then it could just be A T100 thing Toyota`s forgotten child
If one uses a good brand of blinker fluid just like a well designed shock mount or extender it should be just fine.

Thats what im confused about! i havent even left the pavement. The shocks were the same as eachother and the same as the old ones. and with the shock extenders my shocks were barely shorter than full extension. they always break and then bow outwards towards the tire, i can post a pic tomorrow, i left it on... atleast i can pretend to have a shock...

on level ground, my suspension only compresses about an inch from full extension, with or without shocks. im not sure if the owner before me cranked the T bars or not, i loosened them a turn and a half when i installed the spacers, which didnt make a noticable difference.
my phone likes to take randomly sized pictures.
