91 pickup Tailgate latch guts

Right now my tailgate handle consists of 2 rods that are connected to nothing that you have to pull together. I would like the handle and "guts" parts that connect them together. i have paypal. please pm,

Are they universal? Or do they actually have the specific one for toyotas? My local parts stores never have anything for my truck it seems.
