Want an 87 4Runner...22RE 5spd
*PLEASE* help me find a replacement for my baby! (I only had it 5 mos and only got to wheel it twice. )
I'm looking for a replacement chassis...mine got T-boned July 5th...after dumping apx $15K into it...paramedics said we're lucky to be alive. (Yes, it was the other person's fault.)

Must have:

• sunroof
• tach
• 5 speed
• reasonably straight body
• No digital dash
• no turbo
• no 3.slow

Strongly prefer power locks/windows (but I can install), SR5 and gray interior (even if it's kinda rough).
May consider settling for tan interior (no burgundy ).
Prefer silver or gray exterior, but not critical...I can paint.
Prefer clinometer (but I have one).


I don't care if it's not running (I have a powertrain...but I'd prefer one running, even poorly is fine.)
I don't care if the tires/rims are crap (mine are all new).
Some rust is fine (I don't do body work).
I don't care if rear window doesn't work (I have a good one).
No stereo is fine (I have a DVD player & system + alarm).
No A/C is fine.
Would prefer it NOT have SAS (but I'll consider).
Stock is preferred to me (I have lots of new parts to xfer over)
Not looking for a beauty queen (going to wheel it, not show it).
Will consider other 1st gen years.

I'm in AZ and I'm a (former?) Toyota tech...
*VERY* willing to travel anywhere in USA to get it (or pay transport to AZ, as needed).
I have CASH TODAY!
Wish to pay under $5K.

My trouble is...they sell faster than I can get out there to grab them.

It's always sad to see another one of these legendary vehicles retire for good. But, you can't fix stupid.
