Hi all,

Its been 6 months since I had to part out my '89 DLX because of her being a New England Runner all her life. So begins the withdrawal... I am looking for a 4runner for a new project/rebuild truck. I live in Mass and there really isnt much around that isnt rusted to heck and that was the ultimate cause of death of my old '89. Im looking for something that is under 3000$ considering im going to rebuild it, but the cheaper the better. Id prefer it be running, but for the right price Id take a dead engine. Im much more worried about the body and frame condition than i am of the engine. I'd also consider slightly modded trucks, but no crawlers as this is going to be my DD.

Ideally I would like to get something that somewhat matches my criteria, but i know how rare those 85 SFA EFI's are! Thanks in advance for any posts!

- 1985 to 1989 4Runner
- “Passenger Model”, not “Truck” model (must have rear seats)
- DLX or SR5 (no preference)
- 4 cyl 2.4L 22RE Engine (No Carb or V6)
- No Sunroof
- No Carburetor
- No Turbo
- No Digital Dash Package
- If it’s an ’85 it must be a 22RE fuel-injected, not a 22R carb-y (but will take an 85 carby if there are any left!)
- MUST be manual (no compromise)
