On my planned trip to Pyramid Lake, I stopped overnight in Mammoth Lakes, (frekin long drive from Long Beach) Anyway, When I started my 4 Runner up in the morning and stared to drive my VSC Lights came on and stayed on. This really sucks because my hill decent and accent we not working nor was the center diff locking.

I'm hoping this is just a relay or possible a bad sensor. Anyone have any Ideas of what could cause this issue????

really weird I had this same thing happened. I had the check engine light on and replaced the MAF sensor and I have the cal spec 4runner and replaced the A/f (O2 sensor) and they went off and havent had trouble sense. Yeah its wierd and makes no sense but it worked for me. good luck,

 

Are you VSC and VSC OFF and ATRAC lights all on? This happened to me when one of my O2 sensors went bad. I've heard this can also happen if you forget to tighten your gas cap (never happened to me, but I've heard of this). You could try to pull your negative battery terminal and reset the codes. If the problem persists then, it'll show back up.

 

My Runner doesn't have an ATRAC II light, I asume that because my DAC & HAC dont work that the ATRAC won't work.

I pulled the neg cable off last night and let it set for 20 min, I also did the "turn the key to on 12 times" trick to reset the computer. Oh well took it to the dealer last night, we'll see what they say.
