Someone mentioned in another thread that there is a V8 supercharged 4Runner coming? Is this a factory option? Does anyone have any more details. Certainly sounds intriguing.

 

TRD has offered a supercharger for the V8 (in the Tundra/LC) before, but pulled it when they had "issues". I would imagine they will try to rectify the problems to ofer it again, but who knows?

 

It was (is?) available for the 4th Gen 4Runners. I know it was also pulled by TRD, but other threads suggest that it is still available. About a month ago I recall reading that for some silly reason in was only available in Canada. When I purchased my rig, the dealer asked if I wanted one installed and described another customer that ripped their rear end out doing burnouts with it -- all covered under warranty. I can call my local dealer to make an inquiry if you're interested -- let me know.
