V6 or V8

I haven't looked to see when 5th engages, but I'm guessing 90+, well above what the V-8 will hit in the ¼.

I have not driven a V6 equipped truck but I had 2 Pathfinders with V6 engines, non VQ and those where solid engines, comparing them to the V8 of course they have differences but those V6 engines where solid and quiet with no history of problems.

. The VQ is a huge improvement over the V6 in my sis's '99.5 Pathfinder (although that V6 is smooth and quiet, but is not as smooth and quiet and doesn't have even close to the power the VQ does). If only the VQ was in my 4Runner

.Those that are interested, go test drive a 04 v6 and punch it. I think you'll be pleasantly suprised. I know the two 4th gen v8 owners initial reactions when they drove my v6 were "Wow!".
Yes the v8 rocks. bastards=p

It's on.
This Saturday 5/29 we are going to run :
04 V8 SE, AWD vs.
04 V6 SR5 4x4
Multiple passes , yada yada. BOTH have 3" revtek lifts installed already (didn't have time to run before we put them on).
yes the v8 should win, yes it will be close
(those that don't think so may be suprised).
I am also thinking of doing a couple different scenarios with the runs. Buying a TRD/K&N air filter and running it stock air filter, aftermarket, etc. Just to end that discussion on if they are worth it or not
We will both most likely lose the spare tires as well.
Should be fun...I'm used to winning so this will be hard to swallow
I'll update late saturday with timeslips.

The V-6... No stupid timing belt to replace and VVTi. V-8 does sound better
