tickets sucks why would you risk it when you could spend the 100+ dollars on your trucks . also a crash at that fast just isn't my cup of tea
but in my bodies 4 runner i did 92mph down a bridge and he had no sway bars on it

I've buried the needle on mine (110mph) on a straightaway... The RPMs were still climbing, it was very comfortable.

How old are you? Honestly, I'm guessing 16-17. Just curious for the sake of the thread.

I try to keep it around 70 because of cops, safety and mileage, but I have had my 2nd gen up to 85. It felt like it had some more but it's not a racecar after all. I get a driveline vibe after 75 too.

Only driven mine on two occasions due to a burnt valve. But the second I got it to 85.... Better than my '89 Cherokee ever did running 31x10.5.

P.S. I start the engine tear down tommorrow, wish me luck!!

I have maxed out my speedo downa a straight away, even had GPS verification.

How ever now I take it easy, since on July 4th I got a ticket for doing 69 in a 45.
That as on a down hill curve with no sway bars attached, but the truck felt perfectly fine.

my '97 will hold 100 (barely) on level ground, but when o/d kicks in it dies down to 85 or so...automatics are lame.

I'm hoping a 406 aluminum headed sbc will wake things up to 140 or so. 4runner land speed record

I have never taken mine above 92 or so. But at the same time all my highway time is spent around 80. You gotta love the wide open spaces of NM.

yeah, this is bs. no way a 4runner can do that. its not aerodynamic enough. its not a lambo, and those cant even go that fast.

Well no its bs but that what my GPS shows sooo. You guys are way to sensitive, of course theres no way a 4runner or any other vehicle short of a plane that could do that.

Especially considering even the most exotic cars top out at mid 200's crotch rockets about the same. Must have been a fluke of the gps while it was acquiring signal. I was like holy !
