Rear Locker delay?

Rear Locker delay?

I have noticed that ever since i bought my new tacoma(2007 tacoma dbl cab trd 6spd sb) it takes several minutes of forward and reverse before my rear e-locker will engage is this normal or is this a problem?

that is not normal. It should take a few seconds, sure, but a couple of minutes, not at all.

Take it in and get it serviced under warranty

x2 my buddies on a subzero day only takes a few seconds have it looked at asap by stealership

The first couple times I used my locker it took a little while to engage. Now it only takes a couple seconds. I have an 07 dbl cab 6speed.

Maybe. Mine engages and disengages faster than it used to. I started engaging and disengaging it while going down the road (in 2wd after I did the locker mod), and I did it while going straight and before and after curves/turns.

It never literally took a few minutes to engage or disengage, but now it does do it faster than it did.

Well i just got it back from the dealer and they said it just needs to be broken in and now it locks very quickly after locking and unlocking it about ten times.
