The new plan:

Donahoe coilover for the front, matching Bilsteins for the rear, and 5 Toyo OpenCountry A/Ts, 26570R17.

I'm not sure which Bilsteins - they told me that there is one that goes with the Donahoe coilover, and even has a Donahoe part number. That's the one I'm going with. It made sense, since we were doing shocks also. Total cost will be about $300 - $400 more than the spacer and shocks!

Did Robert my034Runner get you hooked up with a better shop?

Sounds like a nice setup. If your shocks in the rear have a donahoe part number, they are probably Donahoe's rear shocks as well.

Either way, you will be astounded how well it drives!

I wish I'd been a little more patient. We ordered the parts from the same dealer we were working with. I then got a message from Robert with a recommendation.

I think I'll give him a call to see if his guy will check the work after we have it done. Either that, or maybe we'll just pick up the parts and take them to his guy to install, if they'll do that.

The coilovers are in, but not the rear shocks. Will it handle ok if I get the coilovers put on and drive with stock rear shocks for a while? Will I notice the difference between front and rear?

Thanks!

Yeah, that'd be easier, but they have the coilover in stock, and the rear shocks are on backorder. If I knew exactly when the rears would be in, I might hold off, but I want to get the front and tires done. Now all I have to do is decide on tires...
