New here and have a few dumb questions relating to my '06 DC Sport.

There was a TSB to address the amazingly weak tailgate on these early 2nd gen trucks. It included several specific parts used to reinforce the inside top of the tailgate, plus some bolts and screws.
I was looking to get a set of the reinforcing channel, but the parts don't seem to be available from Toyota anymore.

Any one know a possible source for the 2 reinforcing channels?

Anyone approach the problem with a better solution? I expect to be loading some wheeled equipment in and out of the truck using ramps and want to avoid collapsing the tailgate.
