My unicorn - 2009 4runner Trail Edition

Hey all, it's been forever since I've been on here. Last time I frequented this forum I had an '88 4runner that ended up being neglected in a field and sold as a parts truck. I then went through a spell where I didn't have a 4wd, until 2015 when I picked up a 2013 Tacoma Regular Cab 4x4 5 speed. I loved that truck but it ended up getting totalled after getting ping ponged between 2 semi's. I then spent about 9 months looking and finally found a clean '04 Tacoma Ext cab 4x4 5 speed, which I had for about 6 months before it got totalled by a deer doing 75mph.

I then spent another 6 months looking for another Toyota 4x4. I was pretty much set on finding a 4th/5th gen 4runner for the full backseat and enclosed cargo area. I was looking for a Sport or Limited when a buddy mentioned the Toyota dealer a few miles from my mom's place had a gray 4th gen. I looked it up online and it was listed as an Sr5 so I moved on. A couple days later the same buddy and I were driving by and I asked him to pull in so I could look at it (I was getting tired of searching for vehicles and was ready to just have one again). So as we're pulling up to it my eyes catch the "Trail Edition" badge on the side and I was so pumped I jumped out of the car before it stopped and ran to look in the window and sure enough there was the rear locker switch . I called the dealer and left a message as it was Sunday, and the following weekend I drove it home .

Since then I've replaced both front wheel bearings, passenger CV, new headlights, an ATOTO Toyota specific headunit with Focal speakers throughout and a cheap 10" under seat sub (which ended up in the back end because Toyotas seats are too narrow and low), a 2" Dobinson lift kit and 255/85r16 Cooper ST MAXX tires. So far I'm absolutely in love with it and am slowly saving for some armor.

Of course pictures are due...
