My 08 tacoma with 3" lift and 285's

So as promised in another thread here is a picture of my new tacoma with it's lift and tires. If you are wondering about the tire in the bed we found it in the hills and have been hauling it around offering cute chicks a ride in the tire. It sounds stupid but it works!

The chick in the pic is just a friend

Not the best of photos but I will try to get some better ones when I get some free time.

keep an eye on your front mud flaps, the 285's may decide to remove them at full lock to lock/under compression sometime.

Or when backing while climbing up over a rock ledge. That happened last week to me in Kentucky. My left front flap was ripped off when it got caught between the ledge and the tire.

Yeah I had to do A LOT of trimming. I basicly have 3" of fender supporting the entire thing. I'm sure they will get removed soon.

was there damage when they were ripped off or just a missing mud flap? If it causes damage I'll just remove them now.

I had no damage other than the flap itself.

I took mine off before they got too bad, I just keep hearing the wheel hit them when I was turning etc. Ended up selling them for $145 for the set of 4 on ebay 2.5 years ago I figured that since they usually end up getting ripped off on a trail run and becoming fodder for the Sierra Club when they want to close a trail I might as well try to get something out of them.
