Greetings,
I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem.

My '06 Taco V6 has a vibration sound that seems to be coming from the air intake. It does not happen while driving, but it does happen at very slow speeds or in reverse. I asked about it at the dealer...they had not heard of a problem like mine before. They wanted to keep the truck overnight, but I could not leave it.

Anyone one else have or heard of this issue? If it is coming from the air intake; is it an easy fix?

there is a service bulletin for a different air intake.it rattles at the fender.just replaced one the other day for a customer.yours is only the 2nd one i've heard of

 

i will be back at wrk tuesday.if ya need it & i have time i'll get the # for ya.i've been off for a week so likely will have a busy day

 

TSB EG046-06 is the intake rattle tsb. To do the TSB they must first duplicate the concern, then they are allowed to repair.

 

Thanks for help. Any information you can provide would be great. I will be able to reproduce the vibration by just putting the vehicle in reverse. I got under the hood and can feel the vibration in the intake.
