New guy here-- I need to disable the ABS on our purpose built mostly off-road Tacoma now that it will see duty as a Baja support vehicle. Other than pulling a fuse or the harness off the abs pump is there a more elegant solution such as substituting a switched resistor to "fool" the ECU? Anyone BTDT? TIA.

 

DO you have a locker? That will do it. If not, there's got to be a hack somewhere. If engaging your E-locker disables ABS it's got to be done electronically. I bet you could find out how to do that on this forum.

 

I was thinking about installing a relay after with the ABS fuse and running a switch into the cab. I know a couple other people have talked about it, but I have not looked into it recently. Good luck.
