front passenger brake caliper

So I'm kinda new here so hopefully this is the right forum to post this question. I have a 2003 runner and I've romped it decently hard for it being stock. Somewhere along the line something made a super small tear in the rubber sheathing around one of the pistons in my front passenger brake caliper. My guess is that water got in and froze the piston. I ordered a new one from online and got all the specs right but when I went to put it on the caliper rubs on the wheel. It is supposed to fit my vehicle but I'd say its about 1/8 of an inch to big. Before I return it, do I have any other options. Wheel spacers or maybe even grind the outside down?
