Doug Thorley Questions and Answers

1. Pricing? How much are these going to cost?
Answer:

They should run in the ballpark of $650 for the ceramics.

2. What is the projected benefit of the headers?[/FONT]

Answer:

On the 4.7 Tundra we gained 28 hp and 39 torque at 3800 rpm. That is a huge power gain. Also anytime you increase efficiency your mileage will significantly improve as long as you keep your foot out of it.

3. What installation issues will there be for the do it your selfers?

Answer:

These will be a direct smog legal bolt on application.

4. The projected timing from when the 20-25 limit is met until we get them?

Answer:

4-5 weeks from time development is wrapped up.

5. Spreadsheet attached is the dyno spreadsheet for the Tundra for verification of quoted numbers.

If you're interested in these headers for the Toyota 4.7 V8, please leave a note attached to this post so I can get a count. I will also be posting this message over at Toyota120.com and T4R.org, so please only post one time so I can get an accurate count.

REMEMBER, if you are interested in these headers, Doug Thorley will require you to contact them and leave a credit card number. The total BUYING customers needs to be 20-25 before they will start.

Thanks,
Brad

There doesn't seem to be much interest on this website for these headers (V8 headers that will fit Toyota's 4.7 Litre engine) - or have all the posters gone to the Toyota 120 forum?

Mattmkng - we have 4 people signed up. To sign up you need to call Doug Thorley and leave your CC number. They won't charge until either the quota is made or the issue is stopped. So don't be afraid to call (800) 347-8664. Ask for Nick or Frank and they'll take care of you. If you sign up, that makes 5. It seems some of the folks that were talking about getting headers for their V8 haven't really stepped up to the plate. We still need 15, with your CC number at Thorley's.

I think we will get it eventually, but it is going to be a longer slog than I had hoped. In any case, don't miss out on other header conversations that have been posted on Toyota 120. Here is the link:

There are three pages there of questions and answers that you'll find helpful. Wish us luck and don't forget to call Thorley! They are the ones that are REALLY keeping track, I get my info from them!

Thanks,
Brad
