On my 2005 Tacoma TRD Offroad ex cab, when I do the 2.5" Camburg lift up front, do I need to do anything to the rear end? The TRD Billsteins have 40,000 on them, so my concern is if I need to swap them out.

Also, has anyone ever dealt with the All Pro Off Road lift kit? It looks a lot more indepth then the Camburg kit, and while its a little more money, I wonder if it wouldn't run better over time.

Need some advice ASAP. There's a 10' snow storm coming the the area this week, so I need new tires and a lift.

 

If you lift the front 2.5" and do nothing to the rear, then you'll end up with a pre-runner look (droopy ass). You'll want to do something to the rear suspension to level it out - Add a leaf to your existing springs, or get a new leaf pack that would give you a couple inches in the rear. Changing out the shocks is optional, but you can get more travel and better ride if you upgrade your shocks as well.

Anyway, yes lift the rear of the truck at the same time. I used a simple Daystar leveling kit, that 'leveled' it too much and ended up using an AAL in the rear till I can get a set of OME Dakars. From what I have read on other forums (not a whole lot of lifted '05+ on Yotatech) both the Camburg and All Pro kits seem to have a decent reputation. Donohue is also a good one.

Just curious if you had Toyota replace your rear springs under the TSB?

There's a TSB for weak springs that replaces them. That's why I ordered new ones with my lift although the lift didn't come with new front springs like I expected.

 

Question, where are some good places to get the OME Darkar springs?
