Phil called and ordered an ARB bumper from Jaque(I know spelling) he told me that only 20 were being shipped and since I paid as soon as I ordered I would have one of the first 20. I was also told that it is 5 weeks out.
Still came in under the normal price of 1100 and that includes the shipping.
Would you be able to let me know.

No, My dad was able to sell it for a good amount of money. I just hung on to the car I was driving for a little while longer.
I ended up buying an 03 4runner 4X4 V8 SE. I have only put on 43000 miles on it, but I want to start adding a few neat things to it. I have moved across the country for a better job, and came out with a great 80K a year job.
lol thats what I get for typing at 2am

Some here know I am close to the ARB guys so I will drop what little info I know.
The 1st shipment arrives on Friday(sept 8th) from AU here in Seattle. The shipment must go through customs which can take a week or more. Customs sometimes holds them longer for ag inspection so there is always a + or - a week when it comes to customs. After ARB has it they need a few days for unload and packaging then they go out.
If you preordered a bar I would say you will see it before the end of the month with a good chance of seeing it before then.
Disclaimer: I don't work for ARB nor have any affiliation with them. This post is to inform people of information I have heard. Please don't call ARB saying that some random guy on the internet told me my bumper will arrive in x days.

Hey Lance and Scott.
I can see that these ARB rails are going to give any owners some serious problems in the future, should they actually use them on rocks......
As Lance pointed out, two mounting points is definitly not enough.
Second point; The plates that are mounted to the frame don't cover the entire portion of the frame from top to bottom. So, what happens when any serious pressure is put on the outside of the ARB slider and then upward? The outside end of the slider is used as a large lever and pushes the top of the mounting plate into the center of the frame, dimpeling the frame. How do I know this will happen? My frame has the scars to show these marks. :pat:
My current rock sliders now have plates that extend from the bottom to the top of the frame. This prevents the plates from denting the frame and spreads the load out across the entire frame, as opposed to just half of the frame section. As well, I have 4 mounting points. Being that the 4Runner is so low, I think ARB really need to reconsider these mounting points. They need to have 4 mounting points, and ensure the plates that used to mount to the frame extend from the bottom to the top of the frame.
my .02 cents.

They are not designed for "rock crawling", though I did use them as such on several occassions.
They also made it through the Rubicon without issue (other than scrapes, etc.).

Yeah, I would agree, they are not designed for rock crawling. But, as I once did.....I had those cheesy Smity Built nerf bars and thought I could use them to pivot on....big mistake, :pat:, sombody will try to use them in that fashion.
Anyhow, if you are testing them, that would be my feedback to the company; get some plates that actually extend from the top of the frame to the bottom.
I'm sure they will hold the weight of anybody using them as a step, and they do look good
