Hey guys! The name's JC! I've lurked for a while and have even had stuff for sale on the board before and I have to say that it's slowly but surely becomming a home away from home (www.landroversonly.com)

Unfortunately, I'm getting rid of my baby, a 1996 Land Rover Discovery modified to do battle with mud and water. I'm looking to Toyota for the replacement. I'm no longer shopping around, as im convinced that the 06 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 will replace my truck, but now I'm shifting into the Yota community. My love for Land Rovers remains and will move me to import a Defender 110 Crew Cab with a 300TDi in a year or so.

I'm an avid off-roader so I hope to learn much more about wheeling Yotas as I'm willing to share my current knowledge with everyone.

wow, I would love to import a defender. Isnt that going to cost $$$$?

Ive always had a dream of building my own defender. I wonder if someone has bought parts over in the UK and shipped them to the states, that way you wont have to pay 40K for a used Defender. I too will own one when I grow up..LOL

And yes, there's one guy in Northern FLA with a 93 Defender Wagon (the 9-seater) with a Diesel in it..not sure if its the 200 or 300. Another gentlman imported a D110 Crew Cab (4dr with a small bed in the back) Tomb Raider edition (MEGA RARE!) with a TD5. There are also a few other guys on other LR forums that have done the 300TDI swap. Its an est. $8,000 project. I'm looking to build something from the gound up.

As for the yota, It's going to be a DD, trail, and work rig so you'll see more posts from me as it gets in shape!
