4.0 V6 2006 Tacoma Turbo Advice
Hi guys, figured i'd scope out these forums considering there's more toyota guru's on here than performance trucks and other forums i frequent. basically my friend picked up a 2006 tacoma v6 6spd manual a few weeks ago, and wants to preferably turbo it, although he's open to options and i'm the research monkey. my question to you guys is what the easiest, most cost effective way to produce power from the 1GR-FE might be.. now before you ask, our goal is in the neighborhood of 500whp, money isn't a huge issue however the most cost effective route is preferred, and he'd rather have a full kit rather than have to do a custom frankenstein setup. the only turbo kit for the 4.0's i've come across online tonight is an STS rear mount kit and we've had bad experience with rear mounts in the past. please provide some input guys and it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Check out URD for thier kit. Its as complete as can be and is fully tested to be reliable. I would most likely go that route.

that is the stage 1 kit but they have a mk3 upgrade.
