Got my '06 Dub Cab Taco! Love it...the power is nuts. It has the DRL which also happens to be the turn sigs! :pat: I want to disable the DRL and just have turn sigs...any tips how to do this? Thanks

I've read about the DRL for the new 4Runners and I'm assuming it's the same system for the Tacoma (turn signal DRL). There are 2 different flashers: one for the non-DRL and DRL 4runners. 4runner owners that wanted DRL have simply just replaced their non-DRL flashers with the DRL flasher to get DRLs. I'm assuming that if you want to get rid of your DRL, you must purchase and non-DRL flasher for your tacoma and simply just replace the DRL flasher you have now. If there is no non-DRL flasher available for the tacoma, the 4Runner non-DRL flasher may be compatible. I hope this helps.

I did what JC described and I have the Non-DRL flasher from my 4runner.

i looked all over for info on 06 tacos running lights and i couldn't find anything...i'm in the opposite position you are in and i'm looking to turn mine on (after importing my truck from the us to canada they require them)...
is there a simple mod or kit or even switch that will turn this on?
