2003 4Runner Purchase, HELP

Hey guys, I got a little problem 2003 sport edition 4wd v6 32k miles $19,900.00 or a 2003 SR5 awd v8 61k miles $16,900.00 , So what are the differences between the SR5 and the Sport Edition, besides the hood and xreas shocks ??? thanks

one has v8 (5 speed auto)and is full time 4wd (means you only have 4hi and 4lo options) and the other is the v6 (4 speed auto) with part time 4wd (4hi, 4lo, 2hi).

I'd say get the v8 cuz that engine is proven to be solid. I'm not saying the v6 is junk but the v6 with the 4 speed auto is not all that it's cracked up to be. Toyota in 05 upgraded the v6 with the 5 speed auto which helped a lot.

Only improvements on the SE from the SR5:
hood
colored mirrors
xreas shocks (worthless if you plan to lift as it's easier to lift w/o this)

Can't think of anything else. Personally I'd get the v8 cuz that price is insanely low! (unless that's the going rate now)

good luck

The sport also has some minor interior upgrades. Better seat surface, steering wheel audio controls, things like that.

I think the V8 is a good deal. I absolutely wanted a 2wd capability, so that was a make or break thing for me.
