'07 Taco has problems starting.....sometimes.

I have a friend who has an '07 Taco D/C TRD sport. He had an '05 Taco D/C before but he was having problems getting it to start. On the first try it would crank and crank but not start. As soon as he'd try again it would fire right up. This would happen several times a week. The dealer said it was a bad "quad ring"? in the fuel pump. So it was replaced under warranty, but still no help.
So he traded it in on an '07 and is having the same problem. I have had no such problems on my '05, have any of you?

Thanks for the info. I've had the same problem a few times with mine. I just thought it was a fluke and wasn't going to need repair. Now I'll take it in.
