05 4Runner mystery fuel leak-Pls help!

Folks, I'm in a very rural location. I parked the 05 4runner w/V6 (138K miles v good cond never used for off road) in a garage on Labor Day w/full tank of gas (7.50 gallon!)+seafoam conditioner to stabilize gas, battery disconnected. I got back ystdy, & hooked battery up & it started first time. When I backed it out noticed it had a 1/4 tank of gas. No chance it was stolen & garage didnt smell of fuel. Drove the truck maybe 8 miles & parked it last night gauge still indicated 1/4 tank. Started it this am & it was on E & low fuel light was on. Zero chance of fuel theft. I move the car back & sniffed ground. No smell of gas. Then got under truck w/flashlight for 15 minutes couldnt find a drip or a wet spot. Then I checked the engine compartment-no fuel leak. I'm about to get 5 gallons & fill it up & lay under the 4runner wlight to see if I can find leak. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance.

It's not a leak, tank is full. I suspect its a tank sensor or gauge issue perhaps related to having disconnected the battery due for storage, although I've disconnected it dozens of times previously w/o incident. I started it again & it now shows 1/8 tank w/o low fuel light. There's a youtube video entitled 05 Toy 4runner gas/fuel gauge problem-Fixed that helped. However I really dont think in my case it's necessary to replace the tank sender/unit. There must be a position sensor that needs to be reset. Anyone have an idea?

I cant be the only one that's experienced this or similar problem...

yes, it is no doubt the gauge or something as opposed to gas leak.
