04 4Runner, Need Lots of Help
I have an 04 4Runner SR5 4x4 with 17x7.5, 6 on 5.5 rims, and 265/65 tires. My issue is, I don't like how the tires sit inside the fenders. I want to step up to 275's, maybe 285's, but I also want my tires to be even with or extend just outside the fender. Can I accomplish this by just getting wider tires? If so, how wide can I go with my stock rims? If I need wider rims, how wide? I want to put on 2 or 3 inches of lift, but not for heavy off-roading. I probably won't get any more aggressive than dirt trails, and maybe a dried up creek bed or two. This is all more for look than anything. Any suggested lift options? Any help on any of my questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

here's what I did.
Cooper ATR 265/70/17
Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers
Fusion 2.5" leveling kit. actually raised the front 3"
Firestone airbags in the rear coils.
you could probably run a 285 tire but its still not going to get out to the edge of the flare like you want it to.
