'03 4runner going to dealer. advice?

i just bought my '03 about 5 weeks ago, i'm taking it in to Olathe Toyota tomorrow for:

1) exaust leak on driver side manifold, 1st cylinder.

2) driver side windshield trim ripped off at 75mph.

3) sunroof leak, leading edge.

i'm just seeing if any of these things are common and if you guys had any further info on them.

sunroof leak could simply be plugged up drain hoses, which are coincidentally located in the front edge of the windshield tray. Test by pouring 1/2 cup of water in the tray to see if it flows down the little drains at the front corners above the a-pillars.

If one side is plugged by debris, clear it out by GENTLY blowing some compressed air through them.

Water should drain down the a-pillar drains to the front fenders somewhere.

HTH.

That sounds steep..I would take it to a "competent" exhaust shop and get some quotes or advice. Hard to say without pics of the damage.

The reason they charge so much is the cats are welded into the manifold, IIRC.

If not...its still a ton of labor to remove those manifolds off those things, especially given the rust problem.

do you know any good local mechanics, dealers usually have good mechanics, but they are very expensive so be prepared for a hefty bill.
