I changed the battery in my 03 4runner. When I hooked up the negative cable the alarm system went off. I turned it off with the clicker and shut the hood. About and hour or two later I went to start the car and the vsc trac, vsc off, abs, and parking brake are all on and there is a high pitched ring/ beep that comes on. My brakes don't work either. I don't know if I arched something ( the medal battery tie down thing got pretty close to the positive terminal) or if putting a battery that didn't actually belong in the truck shorted anything...is that possible? I NEED HELP BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.
