Never had a problem with my 4wd before. My VSC teacher and VSC Off lights have been on since I got my rear brakes done. The other day I get in my car and boom the 4wd light is on. Not blinking. Staying on. I have tried turning the knob to get it out of 4 wheel but I don't even know if its in 4hi or 4lo. I drove to my parents house the light wasn't on when I left is when it came on. It also feels like the actual knob to switch into 4wd may be broken? I don't have to push down to turn it to 4lo position. I'm stumped!! Any one have any ideas what may of happened???

I have a similar issue. I just bought a 01 sr5 4runner. Both of the VSC lights stay on and the 4wd light wont stop blinking. I got underneath of it and it sounds like the 4wd actuator is moving but the front tires wont lock in. We have a foot of snow and this thing is like a anchor and wont work. Any help would be helpful it only 2 degrees outside. I already tried to heat up the undercarriage and nothing. The only lights that work are the ECT and the OD
