i buy a couple quarts of Amsoil Z-rod 10w-30 and use a quart at every oil change. There's enough zinc in just that one quart to keep you covered. Alternately, you can buy some break-in oil (I like Redline) and put a couple ounces in your crankcase, too, for added zddp. But the Z-rod (comes in 10W-30=yellow top and 20w-50=red top) works better. $12 bucks a quart so it isn't cheap. Also I've had good luck with Archoil, which is boron, not zinc...but essentially works the same.
DON'T put too much zinc (zddp) in there or you will get scoring / pitting on your cam lobs. Less is better.
