I have posted a thread or two on my carburetor problems, constant flooding etc on my 1986 pickup, 22r motor. Piece by piece, it has seemed to fix a little at a time. Well, my problem has been fixed! Some of you might enjoy this... The previous owner happened to have the fuel lines on the pump crossed, so I was sucking fuel from the return! I couldn't figure out why I was getting crap stuck in my carburetor, well...I guess that happens when the filters are on the RETURN LINE!!! It finally runs like it's supposed to, I just thought I'd throw a thank you out to everyone who has helped me with my neverending issues! Thanks!

 

It's an older truck so the issues will forever more be never-ending.

 

oh wow that hurts. haha well i'm hoping that once the money comes in, a fuel tank, sending units, carburetor, and fuel lines will all be brand new! as opposed to piecing them back together hahah

 

didn't mean for it to hurt. maybe just a reality check.
in the mean time, it's whatever works.....

 

Haha didn't hurt any worse than trying to patch the fuel lines, then saying screw it and replacing them today...now THAT hurt. Haha. Abe, any idea where I could pick up a webber carb for it?

 

I've got a weber I removed from my '86 before I sold it that's just in my way. pm??? has MAYBE 2,500 miles on it.

But I've got a stock carb off an "alleged" 88 22r sitting in my garage. Don't know if it works or not but the shop said it worked when they pulled the engine. (Engine went into my 91)

Why do you want a different carb?
