yet another tire change question, as well as exhaust

i have an 87 pickup with 33's. would i have a noticable change in "pickup" if i were to change to 31's? also how does flowmaster sound on the 22rec? and can i cut cat off or would it mess up back pressure? thanks

Changing tire size that much would produce a noticable effect.

The flowmaster would sound okay - there are quite a few clips on youtube of 22re equipped trucks with flowmasters.

I would keep a cat on there to keep the exhaust nice and hot.
What you can do is remove the stock one, sell it (they are worth around 100 dollars because of the valuable metal inside), put a freeflow cat (magnaflow makes a nice universal cat for around 80 dollars) on and you will be golden.
