i have a 1993 pickup with a 22re my problem is when i give it gas i dies. at idle it runs strong! i just cant drive it. i have put on a new tps sensor and a new mass air flow sensor i. my guess is that i got a bad tps but i dont know how to test it to see if its any good, also the tps looks like it has a adjustment, how do you know where to adjust it? any advice would reall help thanks alot. also im getting a code 24 what would that be if i just replaced the mass air flow sensor

 

check the boots and ducts from the throttle body over to the air-flow meter for any cracks or leaks yet?

 

i did not see any cracks or such the engine was just bought as a new rebuild.

 

a new engine doesn't mean the rubber's are fine and just 'cause you don't see a crack doesn't mean it's not there- squish and sqeeze and check.

Guess I can't rule out having the timing set improperly either though.

How did you set the timing?
