Hey all I'm new here. This is my first yota. 5 of 85 ifs yota 4runner. 22re 5 speed brown interior w/ a rebuilt title. Here is the deal. It had 264 on it and the previous owner rebuilt the engine, said it needed a head so he bought a brand new head, brand unknown. He said the bore was good so they didn't bore it, also they put a new crank, why they didn't just go ahead and bore it I'll never know. Anywho I got it and hooked all the wires back up and crunk it up. No knocking but a noticeable clacking from the valve cover. So we pulled it off and the rockers were hitting the VC so we fixed this issue and now she runs like a fine tuned machine, no knock! So we took her for a drive and the rear end was acting odd. Pulled the 3rd and it had a tooth off the ring gear. So a buddy who has several junk 4x4 yotas said come get what ever you want. So now it has a v6 3rd member with a 4 pinion carrier and 4.56's front and rear for free. It came with a chrome grill but I hated the chrome ones so I put in a 1987 1 bar. So in short was this 4 runner worth 13? Sorry I'm very mechanically inclined but never cared for yotas always been into full size jeep cherokees, please forgive me I'm here now hahahaha Was it worth 1300?-image-2867773311.jpg The day I got her Was it worth 1300?-image-2918457432.jpg The next day Was it worth 1300?-image-753820769.jpg 1 week later. Was it worth 1300?-image-2622398499.jpg Flexin'

Also I need a set of markers and bumper caps. Where are a place I can get some? Sorry I don't know many 'yota vendors. Just jeep and chevy's

Seems a little high to me. But you already bought it? Most ask before they buy a vehicle in question

i did not know about this site before i bought it. i went and looked at it, had the title checked at the court house, and brought it home all on the same day. a little over a week and a half ago. im no real expert on yotas but around here a yota for under 2000 is rare. 4runners are around 18 but this one was on the lesser end of the nice scale.

all the trucks around here are also rust free, so that jacks the price up.

yea down here you might find a decent running 92 for 2300 and then a 1980 20r 4x4 reg cab for 2200.

It will be a DD starting as soon as the title comes back. So far my mods include 1: hella fog lights
2: 4:56's front and rear 3: v6 4 pinion carrier in the rear. 4: v6 3rd member 5: Herman header w/ single chamber flow master. Should a start a build thread? Haha I'm working on my 17 y/o part time job budget so it's slow going. All parts I have done so far have been free. My plan is a non mall crawler real functional 4x4. Something that is rare around here exept for a Few friends. Leaving is ifs for a long while. 3" lift with 33"a rock sliders, winch, locker, custom bumpers. Etc. a good camping/ wheeling/dd rig, we own a garage and I grew up in cars so none if this is a problem.

I think it was a good deal. Your interior is intact and those parts can nickel and dime you to death. Are the Weathertechs mats or liners? What year were they made for? I don't think they have 1st gen liners any more.

they are liners. They appear to be for a first gen as they fit really well. Line up on all the corners and moulding. They look like a older design so maybe older but just never installed? My interior is decent. The cargo area needs tlc. But she is a solid old rig! Will make a sweet DD and weekend wheeler

If you get a chance can you post up some pictures of your Weathertechs and how they fit? I'm nerdy like that. I tried a 3rd gen in the front one time and it seemed like it would fit if I made a couple of pie cuts. I still have a Made in England Weathertech cargo liner I got in 1996 for my 97. It's in the 2000. They are really worth the $$.
