!993 one ton automatic will not shift into park. Recently replaced Ignition Switch Auto Column Shiftier housing. I do not know if it was shifting before R & R. Just got her running!! Everything looks good. Just don't know where to look.

It looks to me like the brace on the steering column is bent down. It doesn't keep the shift column high enough. Works perfectly when I hold it in position. The image below shows the shift column in foreground. and two hold where the bolts go to hold the shifter up.

 

Took off steering column and straighten pad for column. Works great! This has been a learning experience. The key will not activate the starter. Just took off the NSS. Checked and no continuity anywhere. Took apart and the springs and contacts (2) had come unlodged. Stretched springs and replaced contacts and now continuity is to specs. I got the idea from this guy. Hope to install and check to see if we will crank from key!!
