Wiper Arms?

Are the windshield wiper arms compatable across all the years of the pick up or no? The ones on my truck only allow the actual rubber blade itself to be changed and I'd like to get the kind that allow the entire assembly to be changed, like on modern cars.

Are yours the type that have the blade 'offset' from the end of the arm: blade connects to the side of the arm instead of directly on the end?
Do you have 2 screws on the end of the arm?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean but I think I get it and the tentative answer is yes. They do have 2 screws on the end of the arm though, that one is for sure.

Bosch sells replacement blades that come with adapters that can be used on that type of arm. You basically remove the screws, put their adapter on the arm and replace the screws. Then you put a pin they supply through a hole in the wiper blade and snap it into the adapter. Done.
For the record, I'm talking about their "Microedge" brand wipers and the instructions and adapters are inside the box.

Oh cool, I had no idea they did that, thanks. Do you know if they sell just the adapters separately? I want to try out some Scrublades now that my wipers are in need of replacement.

Mine were like that.
Go to Schucks/O'Reilly's and look up the replacement with the WHOLE assembly.
I think Bosch makes them.

I was unaware such an adapter existed.
